Entering this period masterpiece in Sydney’s Greenwich induces major shock value — a feeling that perfectly delivered on our clients brief for a home with major ‘wow factor.’ Designed for a young family who wanted both function and elegance, we crafted a house they could treasure well into the future. 

The impactful entry is an introduction to the sophisticated materials palette we threaded throughout the interiors: bronze hues, reflective surfaces and unique natural stone sourced from all corners of the globe. By using mid-contrast colours, the eye is attracted to the electric blue of the harbour view, a feature enhanced by a new architectural window system that maximised the glazing.

Awash in light, the mid-level dining is at the heart of the vast open-plan zone, seamlessly in sync with its surrounds. Approachable enough for family meals and elegant enough for hosting, its proximity to the fireplace offers comfort and warmth in the cooler seasons while the Calacatta Macchia Vecchia stone fireplace exudes opulence. Our vision was to create a home that would meld sumptuous style with a sensible floorplan. The refined living area is suitable for both friends and family to enjoy with steps that lead down to the intimate spot which focuses on privacy and tranquillity.

Evoking quiet luxury, the master bedroom is a serene environment furnished in luxe materials and muted tones.

A fairy-tale oasis, the dressing room is anchored by a spherical island bench. The feminine space is framed by convenient storage in addition to display shelving for keeping the owner’s enviable shoe and accessories collection on display.

Up-lighting infuses the bathrooms with atmospheric calm, the practical joinery and wet areas layered with soft, earthy tones and textural elements for a sense of elevated luxury.

The ground floor casual entertaining area is one of the home’s many inviting spaces.  An entertainer’s dream, we integrated tech, moody lighting and all the mod cons necessary for a modern lifestyle.
