Just a couple of hours from Sydney, the boutique Bobé development in Hawks Nest is beachside living at its best. Appealing to a wide range of buyers — especially vacation homeowners— was important, so we stuck to neutral colours with timeless finishes. With its contemporary sculptural facade, the building is the talk of the town.

The limited floorplate meant getting creative so we integrated the kitchen with the dining to create a communal zone where cooking and eating are enjoyed together. Suited to convenient, easy prep rather than elaborate meals, it ticks all the boxes for a relaxed coastal lifestyle.

We adopted a simple palette with organic tones that acts as a blank canvas for each owner to add their own personal flair. Lime washed walls, timber cabinetry and floor-to-ceiling porcelain fireplaces infuse the interiors with quiet luxury. 

A classic Australian seaside destination, lush greenery and tropical palms encircle the property. All three villas are a slice of paradise, the living room unspooling onto a terrace with a plunge pool and bedrooms overlooking verdant greenery from bed. 

We used just three hard surfaces for the wet areas, the combination resulting in a sophisticated scheme of tonal grey that is universally appealing.
